Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kggrapes (black or deep red)
  2. 1/2 cupsugar (adjust amount based on sweetness of grapes)
  3. 2 cupswater (1 cup at room temperature, i cup chilled)

    Wash grapes thoroughly in running water and keep aside.

    Heat 1 cup of water in a pan and add grapes. As water starts to boil, grapes will float up on the water surface. Using a slotted spoon remove grapes and drop them into 1 cup of cold water.

    Slightly squeeze the grapes, this will separate skin, seeds and the pulp. Remove the skin and seeds and refrigerate grape pulp.

    Heat grape skin and 1 cup of water. Add sugar and continue cooking for 6-7 minutes on medium heat.

    Strain this solution and squeeze out remaining pulp from the skin using back of a spoon. Once it cools pour the pulpy mixture and refrigerate. Check sweetness of juice, add more sugar as per taste.

    Serve it chilled.
