Homeade Raspberry Applesauce

I loveee this stuff! So sweet and tangy and can be used for so many things. Spread over fruit, breads, make popsicles from blending it, add it to a peanut butter sandwich or just eat plain! Yummy! :hungry
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Core and peel your apples (I personally leave the skins on for a more rustic applesauce with the plus of added nutrients from the skins)
- 2
Slice the apples and cut them into medium sized chunks.
- 3
Add the apples to a large saucepan. Pour in juice/water and then add lemon juice. Mix well.
- 4
Add fresh raspberries, mix and cover pot to boil for 5 minutes. Once boiling reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally until apples are soft and broken down to a chunky but thick applesauce.
- 5
At this point you can choose to either put your applesauce in a blender for a smoother consistency or leave as is. Store in either canning jars or airtight container in the fridge.
- 6
** I took some of my applesauce and blended it until it resembled a baby food puree and used it for making popsicles. Nice tangy frozen sweet treat with no added sugar!)

Baby's First Applesauce Baby's First Applesauce
Just fed my little guy this applesauce and he loved it. His mouth was open before I could get the spoon back in the jar.I add coconut oil and Himalayan salt for added nutritional benefit. So as a mom you can decide to cut it if your concerned. Great mixed in with cereals or on it's own. Give your baby only a small amount at first to test for any allergies.Makes 3-4 4 ounce jars. You don’t need to add sugar because the Apple cider or apple juice adds the perfect hint of sweet! If you want it sweeter add a teaspoon of brown sugar and you can also add in raisins midway through cooking. Chef Nena -

Applesauce Cake Applesauce Cake
I had some applesauce so I thought of making this. You can substitute applesauce with chopped fruits (dried or fresh) or jam. It is very easy to make, your little ones can help you stirring and adding things to the batter! My kids are not that fond of cinnamon, so I didn't add any. I think a sprinkle of cinnamon on top will give more oomph to this dish. Angela Mertoyono -
Applesauce BBQ Chicken Applesauce BBQ Chicken
No real story behind this recipe; just want to add a few notes. I personally like to bake chicken better than fry in oil, so when I use this recipe, I modify it. I bake the chicken in the oven with the applesauce and BBQ mixture poured over it. It turns out really good and the flavor is so good too! Adrianna Morton -
Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce Pfannekuchen (German Pancakes) with Homemade Apple Sauce
Pfannekuchen is German for "pancake" but they're really different than the fluffy American-style ones. They're basically big, thin crepes and are sooo delicious! I used to top mine with apple sauce and plenty of powdered sugar. In case you can't buy apple sauce or want to make your own, I included how do make it here. Besides apple sauce, some people eat these with fruit, jam, or nutella too ;) Felice -
50 California Farm Apple Sauce 50 California Farm Apple Sauce
Good old Farmers Almanac recipe, probably from apple country back east. No sugar added! We use Golden Delicious or Granny Smith green apples, I add a cinnamon stick while cooking, remove it when putting the apple sauce in the heavy duty quart freezer bags. Hobby Horseman
