Crispy onion topping

Whilst on holiday during the summer in the mountains here in Northern Italy, I had these more than once on various dishes! They are amazing on meat dishes to add a little texture or crunch. Or quite frankly, I could just scoff the lot #seasonalingredient #tasteofautumn #onion

Nitamago (Flavored Boiled Egg) Nitamago (Flavored Boiled Egg)
You can find these very often as a topping for ramen. Adjust the boiling time for hardness of the eggs to your taste. You can add in a salad, soba (buckwheat) noodles, udon, pasta, gratin, on the rice, toast, with meat...and so on. Nitamago can be used for various dishes (or of course only the egg itself is enough) so it's good for you to make many at once when you have time. Rie -
Pickled Onions Pickled Onions
I heard from my husband that pickled onions are good for you, so now it's become a staple dish in our home. For those who aren't quite partial to vinegar, use 1 part vinegar to 1 part soy sauce, or add sugar or dashi stock to make it milder. You can use the leftover vinaigrette for vinegar dishes or to make ponzu or dressing. Pickling eliminates the sharpness of the onion and highlights the sweetness. See. Caramelized Onion (Using Slow Cooker) -- 2 Ingredients! Caramelized Onion (Using Slow Cooker) -- 2 Ingredients!
I rely on slow cookers a lot. I use it at least once a week. And sometimes I use it to make shortcuts. We love caramelized onion, but boy, sometimes I am just too lazy to make it. So making a big batch and storing it in the fridge or the freezer is the way to go! Angela Mertoyono -

Fried Shishito Peppers Fried Shishito Peppers
Summer on the farm where I live is the best time of year simply because of all the delicious and easy to prepare veggies that are coming out of the garden. Protein definitely takes the back seat to plates of dry farmed tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and topped with fragrant basil and mozzarella cheese, simple cucumber salads, and rustic grilled summer squash. One of my favorite things is to fill up my cast iron skilled with little Shishito or Padron peppers and sauté until charred - so simple and good. farmer_ariel -

Crispy Chicken with Honey-Lemon Sauce Crispy Chicken with Honey-Lemon Sauce
I wanted to make a refreshing chicken dish using bottled lemon juice. Please adjust the amount of honey or lemon in the honey-lemon sauce depending on how sweet or sour you like it. I saw on TV that adding a bit of sesame oil to the frying oil makes the fried food crispier, so give it a try. Add enough oil to the frying pan to cover the bottom, and add about 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to that. Make sure to fry the chicken fritters until they are crispy. Don't omit the garlic or basil, otherwise it will lack in flavor. Recipe by ne-ne cookpad.japan -
Delicious Spring Cabbage and Chicken Thigh Dish in 15 Minutes! Delicious Spring Cabbage and Chicken Thigh Dish in 15 Minutes!
I referred to a recipe that a chef from an Italian restaurant near our house presented on TV.Grain vinegar works well with simmered dishes.Add a lot of cabbage because cabbage soaks in a lot of juice and is delicious.Since the garlic and the anchovy paste are cooked in residual heat, it won't get burnt or have a fishy smell. The sauce is so flavorful, you will feel like dipping some bread into it! How to Boil Bamboo Shoots & Store in Jars (for Over 1 Year) How to Boil Bamboo Shoots & Store in Jars (for Over 1 Year)
Farmers who cultivate bamboo from their own groves preserve it this way. (And sell them this way, too).I don't have my own bamboo grove , but I do receive a lot, or at least a whole bunch at once, so this is one job I do with my mother-in-law...I don't have any experience using jam jars, so I recommend using a screw top storage jar like the one shown above. Make sure to pack the jar as tightly as possibly to keep air from getting in, and close the lid as tightly as possible! Take care not to burn yourself! Store in a cool, dark place once it has cooled. It is the same as any other boiled food once you open the jar. Make sure to use it up quickly after opening. Recipe by uronn cookpad.japan -
