@cook_19872338 Ponch phutan means five seeds. Those are mustard seeds, Jeera seeds, Methi seeds, Kala Jeera , Fennel seeds. These five seeds together is called poncho. The quality of all four seeds are same except methi/ Fenugreek as it is bitter. These five seeds together bring a beautiful aroma to dal, curry even Upma also.
