In a bowl, mix 1 cup of warm water with 1 tablespoon of yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes.

Add the salt to the flour, then pour in the yeast mixture and additional warm water as needed. Knead well until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let the dough rest and rise for at least 1 hour.

Divide the dough into balls about the size of an orange. Cover and let them rest for 30 minutes. One kilogram of flour makes about 12 loaves.

Lightly flour your work surface. Using a rolling pin, roll each dough ball into a round, flat shape.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the first round of dough in the hot skillet. Use a spoon to gently press and spread the bread so it puffs up, then flip it over.

Let the bread cool, then repeat with the remaining dough rounds.
