My mother used to make this when I was a child and now I'm making it for my little one.

Growing up my momma nanna made what st the time to me was the best tuna casserole, this is a updated version of hers no crushed up chips on top and no cheddar cheese or peas my kids will not eat peas I love them but well I make it for my kids!

Best tuna casserole ever!

It was a blustery, chilly night. We wanted something hearty and warm, and just a little different than what I normally make on a chilly evening. I browsed the fridge and cabinets and had everything I needed to throw this delight together. I normally make tuna casserole with peas and carrots, but after got going with broccoli on this one I think I'll never go back again!

If doubled, will fill a 13x9 pan. Use 2/3 to 3/4 of 1 lb (one box) of pasta to do this. Farfalle is a great choice!

I have made this for years now, you can add so many different things to change it up! but always a classic, easy & absolutely delicious!

Except the type of chips this is like the original we grew up on when I was a wee boy. We used the original yellow family size bag of Lays potato chips. It actually was a massive bag, with 2 inner bags. My older brother would actually ask for this for his birthday dinners. Lots of memories in this dish. My mom never cooked with cayenne pepper. We always added it at the table. Most of the time we would have a couple of slices of bread to make it into fold over sandwiches. It's a classic.
