Ingredients

4-5 servings
  • 250 gmsolited
  • 1 tbspgrated carrot
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped capsicum
  • 1green chilly finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspgrated ginger
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped onion(optional)
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 8-10black pepper corn
  • 1/2 tspcumin
  • to tasteSalt
  • Chopped nuts along with raisins(optional)
  • Mustard oil for trying

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak the dal at least for 4&5 hrs

    Grind it and make smooth paste.

    Now mix all ingredients for making vada.

  4. 4

    Now heat up the oil.

  5. 5

    Wet your hand with water and màke medu vada. Put vada in hot,oil fry till golden.

    Serve hot with any chutney and sauces.
