Soak Ragi, wheat and rice for 10- 12 hours to get the required amount of milk from it.

Transfer soaked ingredients into mixing jar by adding small amount of water and filter it by using a thin white cloth.

After filtering add around 5-6 cups of water to it.

Take jaggery in a bowl add 2 cups of water to it and make it liquid and strain.

Add liquid jaggery to milk mix thoroughly.

Take a big heavy base silver pot (silver paatre) pour the milk mixture to it. Switch on the stove... Remember you must stir the milk in very low flame so that it must not form any lumps in it.

Stir till 40-45 mins, make sure it must not be sticky. At last add dry ginger and cardamom powder to it stir again.

Switch off the flame and pour keelsa on ghee wiped plate. Sprinkle poppyseeds and grated dry coconut on keelsa while it’s still hot.

Cut it once it completely cool down.

Tasty Keelsa is ready to eat.
