Sweet boondi

Boondi, an Indian dessert made from chickpea flour. In Rajasthan, ladoos are preferred. Sweet boondi is mostly made for prasad on festivals and spl occasions. Else even namkeen boondi is made and served as and used in farsans.

Make a batter of besan. Add orange food colour and water. It should be in a flowing consistency. But not too thick and not too thin.

Heat water and sugar, add orange food colour and cardamom powder. Just one tar chasni reqd.

Heat ghee, take a grater or any such spatula in which there are holes. And drop one spoonful of batter on the grater. Boondi will start falling in the kadai. Fry in batches. Remove and tranfer in the chasni pan. Mix well. Add muskmelon seed. Mix it again gently.

Today being Guru Purnima, I made boondi and gave offerings to my Baba(Sai)
