Ingredients

40 minutes

  1. tomato Sauce
  2. whole tomato cans 3 (each can 800g)
  3. 1/2 cupoil
  4. 1 tbsgarlic crushed
  5. crushed red chilli 1tbs, heaped
  6. onion 1 large, chopped finely
  7. 4 tbssugar
  8. 1 tsporegano
  9. 1 tsp: salt
  10. For Meatballs:
  11. onion 1 large, chopped finely
  12. 1 tbsgarlic crushed
  13. crushed red chilli 1tbs, heaped
  14. 1/2 cupoil
  15. 1 tsporegano
  16. 1 tsp:salt
  17. 4 tbs: sugar
  18. 1 kg: mince
  19. garlic 1tbs heaped finely chopped
  20. : bread slice 11/2 large
  21. 1/2 cup: whole milk
  22. 1: eggs
  23. 1/2 cup: parmesan cheese
  24. : dry parsley 1 tsp heaped
  25. :dry oregano 1 tsp heaped
  26. 11:lemon zest grated 1 tsp
  27. 12:black pepper crushed 1tbs
  28. 13:salt 1 tsp

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    For Pasta spaghetti 600g (boiled with salt 1 tbs and drained, add 4 to 5 tbs oil so that they do not stick together).

    Boil the spaghetti with 1tbs salt (boil as the packet instructs), then drain under cold water and add oil 4 to 5 tbs and shake it about this will help it not sticking.

  3. 3

    Meatballs:
    heat oil and cook the onions till gets soft, then add the garlic and cook for further 4 minutes on medium, remove it and place in a bowl to cool down.

    Soak bread in the milk till gets soft, then squeeze bread and discard the milk.

  5. 5

    In a large bowl mix the softened onion mix, bread, egg, parmesan, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, garlic,mince mix well till well combined.

    Make the balls the size you like, heat the oil and fry them till brown all around and no liquid is oozing, place them on paper towel to drain the extra oil.

    Sauce:

    mash the tomatoes.

  8. 8

    Heat the oil and cook the onions till gets soft on medium flame then add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.

    Add the tomatoes, salt, oregano, crushed red chilli, sugar and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes on low to medium flame.(make the sauce a little thick)

    Now add the meatballs and simmer for further 5 minutes, and add the spaghetti mix well.

    : serve hot with extra cheese of your choice and enjoy
