Chestnut Buns Chestnut Buns
I got the inspiration to make this while I was at work. You can use black cocoa or instant coffee (4 g if using instant coffee) instead of cocoa powder. If you don't have any roasted wheat germ, substitute whole wheat flour. The paste filling is not that sweet. Adjust the sweetness to taste. Recipe by Makunouchi cookpad.japan -

Hot Cross Buns Hot Cross Buns
You can't have a proper Easter without hot cross buns! If you've never had them, these buns are lightly spiced, a bit sweet and quite rich thanks to the egg, milk and butter in the dough. My favorite part are the dried fruits mixed in!If you can't buy mixed spiced, you can use this simple recipe to make it yourself: Combine 1 tsp cinnamon powder, 1 tsp ground coriander, 3/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp ground cloves (or mix what ever spices you have on hand) Brownie
