Ingredients

  • 1 kgchicken
  • 2eggs - boiled
  • 1/2 cupminced chicken
  • 2tomato
  • as requiredOil
  • As neededMava
  • For chicken marinade
  • 1 cupcurd
  • as requiredSalt + vinegar
  • as requiredKesar dissolved in hot water and kevda
  • as per tasteRed chilli powder +
  • as requiredDhaniya powder +
  • 1 tbsp jeera powder +
  • For chicken filling
  • 1Onion chopped and boiled
  • 1small onion chopped
  • 1 cupchicken minced
  • 1tomato paste
  • 2-3green chilli chopped
  • as required Coriander chopped
  • 1/2 tspGaram masala
  • 1 tspjeera powder
  • 1 tspdhaniya powder
  • 1 tbspeach -- kaju + badam
  • 1 tspkhaskhas
  • 2-3chopped kaju + badam
  • For musallam gravy
  • As required Tandoori masala
  • 1onion
  • 2tomatoes
  • 10kaju + badam each
  • 1 tspKhaskhas
  • As needed-Green chilli chopped or paste
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 cupfresh cream
  • 1 tbspRed chilli powder
  • 1 tbspdhaniya powder
  • 1 tbspzeera powder
  • 3/4 tbspgaram masala
  • as required Chopped coriander

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean and wash the chicken, make slits on the chicken and marinate it in salt + vinegar mix

    Make the kesar and kevda mix and apply it on the chicken for colour and essence. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

    Prepare the chicken marinade mixture and marinate the chicken, keep it for few hours or overnight

    Preparing the filling - make paste of kaju, badam, khaskhas and boiled onion.

    Heat oil and add chopped onion, when translucent add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli, red chilli powder and all the powder masala saute for a while and add boiled eggs, saute the eggs for a while and remove it. Now add minced chicken + tomato paste + kaju,badam,khus khus paste and cook it very well add salt to taste. And the chicken filling is ready

    Now stuff the marinated chicken with chicken filling eggs and mava and stitch it properly so that the mixture doesnt come out.

    Heat 5 tbspn oil in a pan and at medium flame cook the musallam chicken on all sides.

  11. 11

    For the gravy -

    Heat oil- add onion + ginger garlic paste, saute it for a while than add all the dry masala powders + tomato paste. Saute it well.

    Now add kaju+badam+kk paste to it, cook it for few minutes than add curd to it cook the gravy well (you can add the left over marinade paste at this point).

    Put the musallam in the gravy add fresh cream and mava pour the gravy on top of it and let it cook on low flame for 10 mins on each side with the lid on.

    Garnish with coriander + dry nuts.
