Steps
- 1
To begin with, crumble the paneer and keep aside.
- 2
Heat oil in a nonstick pan over a medium flame. Add cumin seeds. When they crackle, add chopped green chilli, chopped garlic, grated ginger and chopped onion. Saute till the onion turns translucent.
- 3
Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and saute for few seconds.
- 4
Next, add tomato and salt. Cook till tomato becomes soft.
- 5
Now add the crumbled paneer. Mix gently and cook for 2-3 minutes. Don't over cook the paneer as they harden and loose their softness.
- 6
Lastly add the garam masala powder and kasuri methi. Squeeze in some fresh lemon juice and turn off the flame.
- 7
Serve paneer bhurji hot with roti or paratha garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
