Homemade Mascarpone

In Japan, mascarpone is quite expensive to get in hold of.
Well, mix some natural yogurt and heavy cream and drain. The result will taste very similar to mascarpone. Great for cooking or in desserts.
Special Thanks goes to Satoyoko.
Make sure to use heavy cream that's not low in fat, and it will turn out quite similar to mascarpone cheese. Drain over 8 hours, and use it up fast. Recipe by Brandy

Mascarpone and strawberry cake Mascarpone and strawberry cake
Love this cake - let the strawberries from #seasonsupply shine! It's adapted from Orlando Murrin's (https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2304/strawberry-and-cinnamon-torte); I think that the mascarpone makes it creamier and more lush. You can use clotted cream too. Gianandrea Minneci -

Mascarpone & Vegetable Risotto Mascarpone & Vegetable Risotto
I had this in Italy as a side dish. I wanted to make it so I came up with this recipe. The risotto that my friend served up at her home was better than anything I've had in restaurants. I arranged the recipe using vegetables and skim milk.Adjust the amount of water used according to the type of rice selected.Use whatever you like or have on hand for the vegetables. There's no salt in the vegetable broth. Recipe by Brandy cookpad.japan -
Easy Mascarpone Spritz Cookies Easy Mascarpone Spritz Cookies
Since the best by date on my mascarpone was drawing near, I made these cookies without much thought. I love the flavor and sourness of the mascarpone cheese.I halved the original amount of butter and substituted it with olive oil to make the cookies lighter. Of course, you can use butter or olive oil entirely. These cookies are so easy to make since it's all about mixing.Step 4: Mix well to make the dough creamy.Step 5: Use a spatula to even out the dough and to make it less floury.Once the cookies are done, let them cool down thoroughly. Mascarpone and Vegetable Lasagna Mascarpone and Vegetable Lasagna
The lasagna I had at a friend's house was absolutely delicious, so I asked her for the recipe. The original recipe just uses only the tomatoes from a can of tomatoes, but I added the whole contents.Even if it seems like a lot of work, be sure to sauté each vegetable and season lightly with salt and pepper. As for the bechamel sauce, the saltiness of the cheese alone was enough to season it. I used the canned tomatoes as-is without adding any seasoning. Please use the oven temperature indicated as a guideline. If it looks like the lasagna is burning, cover it with aluminum foil. Recipe by Brandy cookpad.japan -
Mascarpone and Tomato Pasta Mascarpone and Tomato Pasta
This pasta was inspired by a chef's recipe I saw on TV. I tried out lots of tomato sauce recipes and after a bit of experimenting came up with this one! My kids ask me to make this all the time! Some notes: You can make this with dried pasta but the sauce will mix better with fresh. You can use sliced bacon but if you want something more authentic, use block bacon. Also, you substitute heavy cream for the milk for more richness, and the honey for sugar if you prefer. Homemade Ricotta Cheese Homemade Ricotta Cheese
I watched a cooking program for cheese on TV in Sydney. It looked so easy to make so I tried the recipe straight away.If you prefer a creamier taste, add heavy cream into the milk.I usually use 300 ml of heavy cream and 700 ml of milk. But if you do so, it changes the taste from your typical ricotta cheese, little by little. Homemade Ricotta Cheese Homemade Ricotta Cheese
I always feel like I buy a tub of ricotta and only use it for one recipe. The rest just goes to waste and molds in the fridge. So this time I tried making my own and it turns out it is simple, easy and delicious. I'll never buy grocery store ricotta again. The higher quality dairy you use the better it will be. This recipe also only makes about two cups but is so easy to multiply. lisazirb -
