Dough for Empanadas/Empanadillas Dough for Empanadas/Empanadillas
Here’s the dough recipe I use for both empanadas and empanadillas. It’s quick to make and much tastier than store-bought dough. This makes about 24 empanadillas or 2 empanadas, depending on the size you want. When I make 7-inch (18 cm) empanadas for the air fryer, I get 2 large and 1 small one. If you want a smaller batch, just divide the ingredients. The time listed is for using a stand mixer, but if you don’t have one, it might take a few more minutes by hand—it’s worth it!
