The size of an apple, it tastes like potato or cucumber or zucchini when fried or baked. Fries like bacon, 3 minutes per side. Makes a great cheese sandwich.

Slice washed squash in eight slices, like you would slice an apple. Put 4 slices dry in medium hot skillet with 1 piece of bacon. Use bacon fat to fry 4 squash slices on one side, 3 minutes.

Flip squash, lay cheese on top of two slices, melt, 1 minute, cover with 2 slices of squash. Fry two more minutes. When molten, serve.
