Mayak Toast (마약토스트)

"Mayak" (마약) is the Korean word for illicit drugs and gave its name to this bread dish because it is supposedly quite addictive. Personally, while I find it quite delicious it is also a bit too filling to eat more than a few! I like to drizzle some hot sauce (sriracha sauce is good) on top. 🇰🇷
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Spread a little mayonnaise over the bread. Make another line of mayonnaise around the edge of the bread. Sprinkle grated cheese around the edge.
- 2
Crack the egg into the centre of the bread. It should stay in the middle of the border of mayo and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3
Bake at 250°C until egg sets, about 5 minutes. Alternatively you can use an oven toaster, or microwave the bread on high at 30-second intervals until the egg is set to the level you desire.
