Rinse the lentils and soak them in water for 5-6 hours. Chop the vegetables.

In a pot, heat the olive oil. Add the onion and sauté until golden. Add the potatoes and carrot, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the lentils and stir with the vegetables. Pour in 2 1/2 cups water (about 600 ml). Add the bouillon cube, black pepper, salt, mixed spices, and a little tomato paste.

Let the soup cook until the lentils are very tender.

Blend the soup well using a blender. Return to the heat and cook until the soup thickens.

You can add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Enjoy!
