Potato Cheese Bread

I bought potatoes, but my mom did as well! . Since we had so many, I tried to make some bread with them!
Potatoes are great no matter how you cook them, aren't they?

If the dough is soft, dust with flour! In Step 5, the potatoes will break easily, so it's best to wrap it all up in plastic wrap while it rises.
In the winter, use warm water. Recipe by Tomomaki0313

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 200 grams☆Bread (strong) flour
  • 20 grams☆Sugar
  • 20 grams☆Butter
  • 3 grams☆Salt
  • 3 grams☆Dry yeast
  • 1/2☆Egg
  • 120 ml☆Water (to mix with the egg)
  • For the filling:
  • 1 largePotato
  • 2 sliceSliced cheese
  • 1Salt and pepper
  • 1Mayonnaise
  • 1Parsley (optional)
  • 1/2Egg (for finishing)

Steps

    Put the ☆ ingredients into the bread maker and prepare the dough.

    When the first rising is done, divide into 6 pieces, cover with a damp towel, and let rest for 10 minutes.

    While you wait, peel the potato and cut into eighths. Put in a heatproof bowl, lightly wrap with plastic, and microwave until softened.

    Once heated, gently pat dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper. Cut the cheese slices into fourths to make 8 pieces.

    When the 10 minutes are up, roll out the dough and wrap up a slice of cheese and piece of potato in each piece of dough. Close the gaps well and let rise (second rising) at 40°C for 35 minutes.

    When the second rising is finished, brush the egg over the top and use kitchen scissors to cut a deep cross on the top of the dough balls. Top with mayonnaise and parsley to taste.

    Bake in an oven heated to 180°C for 15~20 minutes and enjoy!
