Ingredients

50 minutes
8 servings
  • 3eggs
  • 3/4 cupsugar
  • 1 1/3 cuprefined flour
  • 3/4 cupbutter
  • 1/2 tspbaking soda
  • 1 tspBaking powder
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1 cuporange juice
  • 1 tbsporange zest

Steps

50 minutes
  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf tin.

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.

  3. 3

    Sift in the flour with the baking powder, baking soda and salt stirring well.

  4. 4

    Melt the butter in a saucepan and pour it into the batter.

  5. 5

    Add orange juice and orange zest into the batter. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Pour the batter into the loaf tin and bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
