Today I have made tasty Bengali masoor dal .
Steps

First wash the dal nicely. Take a Pressure cooker add washed dal and sufficient water, turmeric powder, salt, cover and allow to cook for 2 whistles.

Heat oil in a kadai add panch phoron, bay leaves, red chilli, green chillies, chopped ginger and fry 1-2 minutes then add slice onion and fry it well

Now add boiled dal and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Then add chopped coriander leaves and sugar and cook another 2-3 minutes, dal is ready.

Bengali Style Masoor Dal is ready to serve with hot rice, aloo bhaja and lemon slices.
