Marinate the chicken drumsticks with lime juice and salt for 1 hour.

Heat oil In a pan add chopped onions. Saute the onions until browned. Add garlic ginger paste and cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Now add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and Saute everything over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until the raw spice smell goes. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Season with salt and sugar. Add the chicken, Stir to coat everything in the gravy. Pour 2 cups of water. Bring everything to a boil. Lower heat, cover, and let it cook completely, add garam masala, stir, turn off the heat.
