Steps

In a pressure cook add onions tomatoes green chilies and garlic

Add cinnamon sticks and black cardamom spices and lentils add water as required and pressure it as per your pressure cooker timing

Heat oil in a pan add chopped garlic when it changes color add cumin seeds when it turn brown turn off the heat

Put the tarka on lentils and cover it cook it for 1-2 minutes and turn off the heat
- 5
Garnish with coriander leaves fenugreek leaves and mixed spices powder and serve with zeera rice and salad
