Steps

First wash fish with haldi powder and salt twice. Then drain the water and marinate the fish with haldi powder, salt, mustard oil and red chilli powder. Mix.it well and keep aside... Then in iron kadai heat mustard oil and fry the fish for few minutes. Once it is done then transfer to a plate and keep aside. In the same kadai add little mustard oil add 1/2 tsp kalonji, 2 red dry chillied and 1 bay leaf. In bowl add haldi powder, cumin powder and salt. Add water and mix.it well. Keep aside.

Pour the prepared masala in oil curry. Add water as needed. Boil it for 1 minutes. Then add the fried fish. Mix.it well.

Add water as needed. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. If you want dry curry then cook for 3 minutes. Once it is done. Slow the flame. Pour 1/2 tsp mustard oil over the curry and cook for few seconds. While eating the mustard oil smell and taste will be there.

Once it is done. Transfer to a serving plate.

Serve with hot....steam rice...
