Put the rice in a deep bowl and add enough cold water to cover it, wait 20 minutes. Then rinse with plenty of water.

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pot or pan.

Add the drained rice and salt and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add mahalep and water and mix.

When the rice boils, close the lid and turn the stove to the lowest heat.

Cook for 20-25 minutes until the rice is completely absorbed.

After resting for at least 15-20 minutes, serve.
