Yet another jackfruit delicacy to beat the heat. This is fairly simple recipe, requiring very few regular ingredients, yet tastes great.

Boil jackfruit/kathal for 1 whistle with little water. If you get tender jackfruit, there is no need to boil. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, bayleaf, onion and keep cooking until onions turn translucent.

Now add the jackfruit(boiled/raw) and the dry masalas: coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Cook covered in slow flame until jackfruit is cooked properly. Once you off the heat, add garam masala and serve.
