Sushi Rolls with Lightly Seared Beef Sushi Rolls with Lightly Seared Beef
This is the beef tataki that I usually make for New Year's. It can be eaten as it is or in a sushi roll like this. It's very popular at parties and as a post-drinks snack. When you place the sushi rice on top of the seaweed, the seaweed will suck up the moisture and become sticky. So I used baking paper and cling film to roll it, which makes it easier to peel off than a sushi mat.For Step 2 when you are evening out the layer of rice, coat your hands in a mixture of 200 ml water and 1 tablespoon vinegar. This will prevent the grains of rice from sticking to them. Recipe by piyopiyonist3 cookpad.japan -

California Farm Slow Oven Cooked Wagyu Beef Sushi California Farm Slow Oven Cooked Wagyu Beef Sushi
Wagyu beef is becoming affordable if you use small quantities. Our butcher sells wagyu filet for $24 a pound. To make nigiri sushi, you use $6 per person, so wagyu beef sushi is only for special occasions. This recipe works with regular filet beef also, if you add a slice of fresh papaya to the beef in the bag to tenderize when slow cooking.Cookpad member Liarraliarra posted this, she is allergic to tuna. Thank you Liarraliarra. For slow cooking, I use the lowest setting in my oven and put the beef in a plastic bag with the air pressed out in a bowl of 164F degree water. Slow cooks the beef, doesnt melt the bag, and makes the beef foodsafe.Served with miso soup, gari pickled ginger, wasabi dip, light soy sauce and freshly grated radishes. Hobby Horseman -
Roast Beef and Cured Ham Temari Sushi Roast Beef and Cured Ham Temari Sushi
I saw these at the supermarket, so I thought up my own recipe. If you have too much rice, you won't be able to really taste the roast beef or cured ham, so it's best to have the rice on the small side. Recipe by xxprsxx cookpad.japan -
Simmered Beef: Great for Hand Rolled Sushi or Rice Bowls Simmered Beef: Great for Hand Rolled Sushi or Rice Bowls
I loved this simmered beef that my mom used to make all the time. This simmered beef is great when eaten with Korean lettuce in hand rolled sushi, when eaten with wrapped beef sushi, when eaten with scrambled eggs and broth topped on rice, as a plain rice topping, and as a bento lunchbox filling! Adding a little bit of garlic makes it more satisfying. Recipe by LaLaHappy1 cookpad.japan -
Ginger Pork Sushi Rolls Ginger Pork Sushi Rolls
Ginger pork and rice go so well together, so I made a sushi roll with the combination.Make sure to wrap the sushi roll securely, and leave it for a while after it's rolled up so it settles down! Thinly sliced pork is easier to roll than pork cut for ginger pork. Recipe by Azumin25 cookpad.japan -

Lettuce Sushi Rolls Lettuce Sushi Rolls
When I was young, I often asked my mother to put these in my bentos for excursions and sporting events. I love how it feels like a salad, even though it's actually a main dish.Apparently, these lettuce rolls are originally from Miyazaki prefecture!! I had no idea. I live somewhere else, but I had them all the time as a child, so I grew up thinking they were known throughout the country. If you've never had these before, please give them a try! I've heard that people in Miyazaki use boiled shrimp instead of crab sticks! That sounds good, too!I didn't include cucumbers here, but they make a great filling for these rolls as well. This dish is a great when lettuce is inexpensive! Recipe by pom130 cookpad.japan -
