Kuler saag has become hard to find in the market these days, rarely seen though during early summer season. I could get to cook/eat after 3 decades. Saag-lovers would definitely love this traditional recipe.

Chop the leaves and pumpkin. Boil in half cup water with little salt, until it’s cooked.

Heat oil, add whole red chilli, mustard seeds and chopped onion. Fry until onion is cooked, add the boiled leaves & pumpkin. Mix well, add salt if required and cook till all the water is reduced.

Pour in half cup of boiled warm milk, cook in slow flame till it becomes a soilid consistency.
