Bitter Gourd Leaves Dal

Soak overnight Dal, the next day pressure cook in sufficient water by adding salt. let pressure release by own and Dal is soften. keep aside
Wash nicely bitter gourd leaves and chop into two halves. Fine chopping is not required. - 2
In pan / kadhai, heat oil, add bay leaf + fenugreek + ginger and allow to sizzle, then add washed bitter gourd leaves and sauté for around 2 minutes.
Immediately leaves shrinks and softens. - 3
Then add the boiled dal along with water, add green chilli + turmeric powder + salt as required and give 6-7 times boil.

Cook further for 4-5 minutes under medium flame, it requires a medium consistency and dal is done.

Pair with Rice and enjoy summer.
