Today is the New Year of the Hindu Calendar. I wish everyone a healthy & prosperous year ahead .
Today our friends are visiting us in the evening . I wanted to serve them some hot snacks . As samosas are favourite of all , I thought of making them . It's different from the usual Punjabi Samosa & very trendy too .

Take wheat flour in a taas / plate. Add oil, ajwain & salt, mix very well. Knead well to make a dough.Cover & rest the dough for 15 - 20 minutes.

Stuffing : Take boiled corn 🌽 in a chopper, & crush them a little coarsely. Leave a few whole kernels

Remove crushed corn in a bowl, add corn kernels, dry spices, onion, capsicum & grated potatoes.

Add chopped coriander, salt, turmeric powder,chat masala & cheese.Mix lightly.

Samosas. : Knead the dough with little oil. Now make equal size medium balls. Take 1 ball & roll it the size of Puri. Cut into 2 as shown below👇

Take one -half of the Puri, give it a cone shape & put 1 corn kernel at the bottombkof the cone.Then put the filling inside. Fill a little more filling by pressing it. About 1 tbsp of stuffing will go in 1 samosa. Apply water on the edges & seal the samosa well so that stuffing does not come out while frying. Make all samosas like this.

Deep fry the samosas on medium flame till golden. Serve hot samosas with hot 🔥 & sweet chilli sauce.

Note : I have semi -fried samosas, as the party 🎉🥳 is tomorrow.But I have uploaded the semi - fried Cheese Corn Samosas today. You can store these semi-fried samosas for a month in the deep freezer. Remove them from the freezer & fry them immediately in piping hot oil. Serve hot.
