Scones Made in a Toaster

I wanted to make a dessert easily using pancake mix. I don't have an oven, so I tried using my toaster, and it worked perfectly!
They are soft when just-baked, but they will be crispy when cooled. Mind you don't burn them! For 8 scones. Recipe by Irongirl:)
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the pancake mix and chopped butter well. Don't melt the butter first.
- 2
When it has all mixed together, add milk, and then the raisins while stirring.
- 3
When the dough has come together, let it rest in the fridge for 15 minutes. Then, roll it out into a 13 cm x 13 cm square on a chopping board and cut into 8 pieces like cutting a pie.
- 4
Place the pieces in the and bake for 2-4 minutes. Once the colour starts to change, cover with foil and bake for another 12 minutes.
- 5
Let cool on a rack and they're done.

The scones I had at a café were just too delicious that I became addicted. Since I like a simple taste that goes with jam and cream, I made these soft and fluffy with no sweetness.I used a half-amount of chocolate chips, 30 g. Jam tablets are also delicious.I use good flour when making scones. This time I used dolce.I think they're best when warm, so if they cool, please heat them in a microwave or toaster oven before eating. Recipe by nyonta cookpad.japan -
Scones Scones
I aimed to emulate KFC's biscuits (scones), and after a lot of trial and error this is the recipe I've settled on. In the end they are different from the KFC version, but it's simpler and easier to eat than the version I was aiming for. When you get used to making these, you can make the dough while the oven is heating up. The important points are as follows: Make sure the butter doesn't melt, and to just work quickly. If you chill the butter and the floury ingredients in the refrigerator beforehand, they'll be easier to work with. Don't knead the dough. The scones will become heavy, and won't split easily. If the dough becomes too soft, chill it in the refrigerator before proceeding. Recipe by Yukiline cookpad.japan -

I made my own versions of a recipe I saw in a magazine a while ago. I tried adding yogurt and other ingredients, but settled on this.In step 3, make sure you mix until the dough is crumbly. If you are using a cup to cut out the pieces, the dough will expand nicely if you use a cup with a thin rim. Recipe by lov_sweets cookpad.japan -
Tofu Scones Made with Pancake Mix Tofu Scones Made with Pancake Mix
I successfully made scones using a banana and pancake mix, so I tried making them using leftover tofu which was sitting in the fridge! They turn out crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.I lightly drain the excess water from the tofu. I didn't strain it. I used silken tofu this time. When you roll the dough into a ball, if it's sticky, please add more pancake mix. Recipe by estrela cookpad.japan -
Basic Scones Basic Scones
I modified a scone recipe that I fond in an old English cookbook to use cake flour instead of whole wheat flour. I know it off by heart but thought I'd make a note anyway. (I combined this recipe with the old "Earl Grey Scones" recipe that I had already uploaded).Due to using vegetable oil and allowing the dough to sit in a warm place, these scones have a moist, fluffy, and soft finish. Adjust the baking time depending on your type of oven. You can eat these the day after you've made them by either popping them in the toaster oven or heating them up for 10 seconds in the microwave. English Scones English Scones
My British friend taught me how to make scones. I lessened the ingredient amounts so they were easier to make, and they turned out surprisingly crispy and moist.Mix the flour and butter evenly so the texture is like breadcrumbs. This is the main point!Cut out the shapes with a sharp cutter. The final result will be fluffier! If you want the scones to be very moist, use more milk. If the dough doesn't come together easily, let it rest in the fridge first. Recipe by Waabisuke cookpad.japan -
Scones With 2 Ingredients Scones With 2 Ingredients
I wanted to make scones with minimal ingredients..Please be careful of over mixing after you add water. When you can't see powdery flour on the dough, that's enough.Bake until a nice golden color so that they will be crunchy on the out side and flaky on the inside. It's great when they are just baked. When they are cool, they are tastier if you put them in an oven. Recipe by Ringono recipe cookpad.japan -

I wanted to try making some scones that contain no oil. They aren't very sweet, so try serving them with honey if you like. When you put the mixture in the refrigerator, the avocado will change colour a little, but that's fine! Recipe by marere cookpad.japan -
