Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. 1 packfrozen udon noodles
  2. 3.5 oz (100 g)kimchi
  3. 2.8 oz (80 g)thinly sliced pork
  4. 1/2 bunchgarlic chives (nira)
  5. 1egg
  6. 2 cupswater (500ml)
  7. 1large clove garlic
  8. 1 teaspoonchicken bouillon powder
  9. 1 tablespoonmiso
  10. 1 tablespoongochujang (Korean chili paste)

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the frozen udon noodles according to package instructions. Grate the garlic. Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and cut the garlic chives into 2-inch (5cm) lengths.

    Add the water to a clay pot or saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the grated garlic, chicken bouillon powder, miso, and gochujang. Stir well to dissolve. Add the pork and cook until no longer pink, then add the udon noodles and kimchi. Stir gently.

    Top with the garlic chives and egg. Cover and simmer until the egg is soft-boiled. Serve hot!
