About this recipe:
I wanted to create a meat dish that was easy for kids to eat, so I tried using some tonkatsu meat I had defrosted. By pounding it, the meat becomes tender and thin, making it easier for young children to eat than tonkatsu.
It's delicious even when cold, so it's great for lunch boxes!

Steps
- 1
Trim the fat from the tonkatsu meat if desired, and pound it with a rolling pin. This breaks down the fibers, making it tender and thin, which is easier for kids to eat.
- 2
Cut each piece into thirds, lightly season with salt and pepper, and coat with all-purpose flour. I use a tea strainer to sprinkle it, but you can use your hands if you don't have one.
- 3
In a bowl, mix the egg, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
- 4
Coat the pork with the egg mixture and cook on both sides. I use a non-stick pan without oil to keep it low-calorie, but you can use oil if you prefer.
- 5
Top with ketchup if desired, and it's ready to serve!
- 6
Serve with salad roll ID:17747067 and soy milk corn potage ID:17746788.

I made this for my husband's lunch box. I was short on time, so I pounded the meat with the back of a knife and applied the flour by hand.
