This is a slightly sweet yakitori sauce that's easy to make in the microwave. I love to put plenty on my yakitori and enjoy!

Steps

Mix the soy-based sukiyaki sauce, sugar, and mirin together well. Microwave at 500W for 1 minute. Remove and stir well.

Mix the water and cornstarch together, then add to the sauce. Microwave again for 1 minute. Remove and stir well.

Microwave again for 40 seconds to 1 minute. Remove and stir well. When the sauce thickens and becomes glossy, it's ready.

Use as a dipping sauce for yakitori or pour generously over freshly grilled yakitori. Enjoy!
