Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 1 teaspoondashi powder
  2. 1 teaspoonchicken bouillon powder
  3. 1 1/4-inch (3 cm) piece ginger paste
  4. 1 1/4-inch (3 cm) piece garlic paste
  5. 1 1/2-2 tablespoonsground sesame seeds
  6. 1 tablespoonmirin
  7. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  8. 1/2 tablespoonmiso
  9. 1 1/2 cupswater (350 ml)
  10. 2-3 tablespoonstoasted sesame oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook your favorite noodles, then rinse under cold water and drain well.

  2. 2

    Add all ingredients except the sesame oil to a pot and bring to a boil.

  3. 3

    Turn off the heat and stir in the sesame oil.

  4. 4

    Pour the soup into bowls to serve. Top with boiled eggs, chashu pork, nori, or any toppings you like.
