Ingredients

10 minutes
20 idli
  • 1 1/2 cuprice flour, fine
  • 1/2 cuprava / semolina / suji, coarse
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 cupcurd
  • 1 cupwater
  • 1/2 tspeno fruit salt

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large bowl take 1½ cup rice flour, ½ cup rava and ½ tsp salt.Add 1 cup curd and 1 cup water.Mix well making sure there are no lumps. add water as required to form a smooth batter.Cover and rest for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes, the batter has absorbed well.
    Now add ½ tsp eno fruit salt and mix gently forming a frothy batter.

    Pour the idli batter into greased idli plate and keep in steamer.
    Steam for 10 minutes or until idli are cooked well.Finally, enjoy rice flour idli recipe with spicy chutney. I serve it with black chana and chutney..
