Badam Ka Harira or Winter special Almond Energy drink form Hyderabad. This one is made in two ways. Both Sweeter and Salted versions are amazing in their own ways. This Harira that iam sharing here is a sweet one. I have used Sugar but not much. It is used sparingly. That is because this is not a Dessert but an energy drink that is made and consumed especially in Winters to keep Cold and Cough at bay and also to provide essential nutrients and stamina to the body. Both Old and Young can relish it for improved immunity and strength.
This is made with both Wheat flour and Semolina. Both are deliciously delightful. I have made use of Wheat flour today along with soaked, peeled and coarsely ground Almonds.
Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps
- 1
Soak almonds in clean drinking water for almost an hour or two. Peel and grind to a coarse paste using some water. And set aside for later use.
- 2
Meanwhile heat ghee. Roast wheat flour on a low. Also add the coarse almond paste. Roast both of these until aromatic and a slight colour change is visible.
- 3
Add previously boiled full fat milk to it. Also add sugar. Mix well until lumpfree. The harira thickens as well. Take it off the heat.
- 4
Serve it right away. It tastes absolutely delicious while it's warm. Serve it in wide bowls with a spoon. Your loved ones would relish every bit of it. Enjoy!
