Ingredients

30 min
1 serving
  1. 1cod filet, frozen
  2. 1/4 cup rice
  3. 1/2 cupwater
  4. 1green onion, diced
  5. 1/4 cupcorn, frozen, fresh, or canned
  6. splashsoy sauce
  7. splashshaoxing cooking wing
  8. splashoil of choice
  9. optional fried shallot
  10. optional fried garlic
  11. optional fresh green onion
  12. Rice cooker

Cooking Instructions

30 min
  1. 1

Wash rice and add in water to the rice cooker.

  2. 2

Gather green onion and corn (and other optional, fast-cooking ingredients). Add into rice cooker pot with water.

  3. 3

Add frozen cod. Do NOT defrost fish, otherwise it could overcook. (PS. I love to source ethical fish wherever I can!)

  4. 4

Add soysauce, oil, and cooking wine. I like to do a circle along the circumfrence of the rice cooker. This seasoning will be soaked up by the fish, rice, and vegetables.

  5. 5

Mix the rice cooker pot until evenly dispersed and cook on "white rice" setting for about 20-25 minutes.

  6. 6

After the rice cooker program is finished, plate with optional garnishes.

  7. 7

Top with optional sesame oil and fresh green onion and enjoy!
