Soak your lentils for about 1 hour

In a pot, add lentils, 3 cups of water, Tumeric, salt, chilli powder and ginger garlic paste and tomatoes

Let this boil for about 30mins

For the tadka fry some ghee, with some onions, bay leaves, cumin seeds, Kashmiri powder

Add the tadka to the daal, add Corriander and cumin powder
- 6
Then add some fresh Corriander and some chillis, adjust salt and spices

Let this boil until soft, add more water if it dries up

Add some fried onions once made
