  • 1small tin Shop Spam meat
  • 100 gSelf-raising Flour
  • 6 pinchesSea Salt
  • Cold tap water
  • Vegetable Oil to deep fry

    Heat up the vegetable oil in a large wok on the highest hob heat of the gas cooker with oven. Use a cube of sliced bread in the vegetable oil to see if the vegetable oil is hot enough - through the crispness of the cube of bread

  2. 2

    Take the cold cooked Spam out of the tin and then cut into 8 identical cube's, can cut it with a dinner knife

  3. 3

    Weigh on a pair of scales 100g self-raising flour, add to a small dessert bowl - add the 6 small pinches of sea salt and then add some tablespoons of cold tap water until a suitable thick batter is formed. Add the cubes of Spam to the raw batter - coat all sides and then deep fry for 5 minutes - keep turning and stirring with a metal dessert spoon

    Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked Spam balls to a dinner plate with plenty of its kitchen towel on the plate and use another paper kitchen towel to absorb the hot vegetable oil on top and then transfer to another dinner plate. Enjoy
