First we will be preparing the masala. For that you'll need to chop 1 onion and fry it in oil until reddish brown.

Also fry the grated coconut in very less oil.

Paste the above fried onions and grated coconut in a mixer and add 1 table spoon garam masala.

This paste can be stored for upto 8 days in the refrigerate in case you don't wish to make it that spicy.

Boil the cholas in a pressure cooker.

In a hollow pan, heat oil and add onions to it. After they are almost done add the ginger and garlic paste.

Add the above prepared masala, 1 tablespoon garam masala and the chana masala to it.

Add the boiled cholass and mix well.

Add water to this mixture. The cholas should be just submerged in the water.

Add salt and chilli powder to taste.

Let it boil for a few minutes before you switch off the heat.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve with bhature.
