Steps

Heat Oil in wok.

Add salt, coriander leaves, 1 finely chopped chilli in the grounded moong dal.(Can add finely chopped carrot and onion in the mixture to increase taste and nutrtion)

With help of a spoon make balls of the above mixture and fry them.(Remove 1 Tsp of this mixture for the gravy)

Drain excess oil on paper napkin and keep aside.

Heat 1 Tbsp oil put jeera and let it crackle now add onion and chilli and saute for a minute. Add ginger-garlic paste.

When onion is golden brown add haldi powder, chilli powder and dhaniya powder. Fry for a minute now add 1 Tsp of dal in 2 cups of water and pour into the pot, add salt and let it boil while stirring it occassionally.

After boiling for 5 mins add fried ball into the gravy let it boil again for 3-4 mins. Switch off the heat.(Can change the consistency according to your taste)

Add garam masala and coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapathi or rice.
