Heavily salt steak on one side with kosher salt flip over onto plate and heavily salt other side. Use so much salt it looks like it is breaded.

Sit steak on plate on counter top for 45 minutes to an hour.

Do not let salt sit on the steak longer than 60 minutes. I usually do 45 minutes.

Rinse off salt with water. Rinse really well. Dry steak with a paper towel really well.

Season with garlic powder and pepper. Do not use any seasonings with salt!

Place steak on hot grill and cook until done to preference, turning once. For medium well I cook about 8 minutes each side.
