Ingredients

10 servings
  • 1 packageschopped dates
  • 1 cupchopped walnuts
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 2 tspbaking soda
  • 1 tbspmelted butter
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 1/2 cupboiling water
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • 1egg

Steps

15 mins
  1. 1

    preheat oven 350°F

  2. 2

    Pour boiling water over dates and let sit 15 min.

  3. 3

    cream butter and sugar, add beaten egg, vanilla and dry ingredients.

  4. 4

    pour dates and water in to mixture.

  5. 5

    add nuts last and mix.

  6. 6

    pour mixture in to buttered loaf pan.

  7. 7

    bake at 350 one hour

  8. 8

    enjoy
