Banoffee Pie Banoffee Pie
This past Easter, I decided to make a non-Polish dessert and this English-inspired pie recipe jumped out at me. I found it in the New York Times recipe section and revised it to suit my taste. The Banoffee Pie has layers of dulce de leche, bananas, coffee-flavored whipped cream topped with mini chocolate chips in a graham-cracker crust. What I didn’t know was that dulce de leche (sweetened carmelized canned milk) is common in Poland and is oftenused for a Mazurek pastry made for Easter and has been a Polish Easter tradition since the 17th century. Banoffee Pie, itself, is now commonly served in Poland. Adam Janowski -

Bangin' Banoffee Pie Bangin' Banoffee Pie
This desert is so simple to make yet tastes like it has taken a decade to master! Made in about five easy steps, it can be dressed up for a formal dinner or for dinner with friends, great as a party dish or just something to keep the kids happy! With bananas in you have one of your five a day, low on chocolate and minimal butter so although it tastes 'so good its bad for you', it isn't! Although one too many pieces can get a tad sickly....but overall this is a great wee desert! Enjoy! natzcoxxy2k -
