Texas Holiday Trash Mix (Chex Mix)

Found this on back of chex cereal box. Love it! (I put extra almonds in instead of the rye chips.)

Wanting to make a chex mix like I bought in Louisiana.

I'm TRYING to type up the recipe to share with you, but I can't stop eating this long enough to finish!!! This stuff is soooooooo good! The coating flavor is very similar to my caramel corn. Family and friends, if you ever wanna give me a gift, make me this! Yummy! Beware! This snack isn't for the weak tongue, although they're missing out. This mix is made with real Carolina Reaper Mash Puree. But don't worry...if you only use the amount in the recipe you should be fine.

Got the recipe from Chex but I made a few changes to it... I used marshmallows instead and it’s perfect 👌 my kids are loving this. I'm not a huge fan of pretzels so I left them out and added more cheese crackers and cereal.

Good to make all year around. Easy to make, and I think it’s better than the store kind and you get more if you make it homemade. My kids love snack mixes. I don't like the bagged super market ones so here is one of the mixes my boys go gaga over!

This is such an addictive snack! I'll choose salty savory snacks over sweets every time, and this is one of my all-time favorites. I'm not giving measurements for the munchies ingredients; just use what you prefer in your desired quantities. Mix them in a disposable turkey pan; the munchies sauce measurements will be enough to cover 1 large turkey roasting pan full of Munchies Mix. Admittedly, I spend $60 or more for all the ingredients, but it makes A LOT (2+ pans) and is SO worth it! Adjust your ingredients to suit your taste and budget.

This is a zesty dry mix. I found it great to sprinkle on chicken or pork before cooking. It's also good in ground meats to make tacos or burritos.
