  • 3 largeonions, sliced
  • 50 mlolive oil
  • 3 clovegarlic, crushed
  • 10 mlwhite sugar
  • 5 mlsalt
  • 5 mlground black pepper

    Preheat a frying pan, medium to high heat

  2. 2

    Add the olive oil followed by the onions

  3. 3

    Fry the onions for about 10 minutes or until almost transluscent

  4. 4

    Add the garlic, sugar, salt and pepper. Fry for a further 10 minutes or until the onions turn light brown
