Ingredients

  1. 1 cupshortening
  2. 1/4 cupwhite sugar
  3. 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  4. 1egg
  5. 1 1/2 tspvanilla
  6. 1/2 tspcinnamon
  7. 1/4 tspsalt
  8. 1 cupwhole wheat flour/white flour can be used
  9. 1 tspbaking soada
  10. 1/2 cupraspberry jam

Cooking Instructions

    Cream together sugars, vanilla, egg and shortening till light and fluffy

    Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda together

  3. 3

    Add flour mixture to shortening mixture. Mix just till combined

  4. 4

    Refrigerated 1hrs to make handling easier

  5. 5

    Form into 1" balls onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet

  6. 6

    Gently press thumb into center of each ball

  7. 7

    Fill each indentation with 1/2 tsp of raspberry jam

  8. 8

    Bake 350 for 8 to 10 min
