add chicken and cook until browned about 6 minutes

transfer chicken to plate and set aside

add onion and garlic to pan

cook, stirring occasionally until tender about 8 minutes

stir in cumin and cook 1 minutes

add broth, tomatoes, corn and salsa, bring to boil

reduce heat and simmer uncovered until flavors are blended, about 10 minutes

return chicken to pan and heat through

remove pan from heat and stir in cilantro.

serve soup with cheese and tortilla chips

can choose to add can of black beans
