I always like to cook from scratch. As i was perusing spaghetti sauces i noticed there were no real homemade ones only recipes using canned tomatoes. For you aspiring chefs out there, hope you give this a try. Please comment if i left anything out. Thx

I always like to cook from scratch. As i was perusing spaghetti sauces i noticed there were no real homemade ones only recipes using canned tomatoes. For you aspiring chefs out there, hope you give this a try. Please comment if i left anything out. Thx

Drop tomatoes in boiling water briefly till skin blisters. Remove from water.

Remove skin and chop to desired size.

In saute pan, heat oil.
- 4
Crush garlic cloves with side of knife to remove skins and chop.
- 5
Add onions, peppers, garlic to oil and cook till almost translucent.

Add basil and oregano and cook for a few minutes. When it becomes fragrant, add tomatoes.

Cook all down in lg pan till desired consistency.

Salt to taste.

If using dried spices (basil & oregano). Cut amount in half.

Meat can be browned our meatballs made ahead of time and added 10 min prior to finishing the sauce.
